Who are Jackson's Art Supplies?
From humble beginnings; a two man team in a corner of a borrowed warehouse started dividing all stages of the fine art mail order process between them – designing the catalogue, taking orders, picking the products and posting them....to now, with our sales offices and warehouse shop in Hackney, our shop at Putney Bridge station and our despatch warehouse in Gloucester, much has changed in the intervening years!
Jackson’s now employ over 50 full and part time staff (most of whom are visual artists) that together send out over 100,000 parcels a year. Despite the ever expanding scale of our operations, Jackson’s continue to maintain the same friendly, personal service, with customer service staff who know their art materials and a warehouse team that pride themselves on picking, packing and despatching orders quickly and accurately.
Why shop with Jackson's?
We stock the largest choice of art materials, without compromising on quality. All that we sell has been selected and considered by our expert buyers, all of whom are practising artists. Boutique oil colour paint brands that you will not find on the high street, such as Michael Harding, Vasari, Mussini and Old Holland are unrivalled in pigment load and therefore colour saturation; the ever popular ranges from the long established brands of Winsor and Newton, Daler Rowney, Rembrandt and Sennelier are excellent. Good quality reasonably priced ranges such as our Jackson’s Artist Oil are unmatched for a combination of price and great quality. Georgian oils colours are a favourite with those on a budget such as students at art college or beginners.
The finest acrylic brands such as Golden, Lascaux and Liquitex cater for every conceivable form of acrylic paint techniques: heavy body, soft body acrylic, fluid acrylic, liquid and spray paint acrylic are all available to meet diverse artist needs.
