Comparing this with the other two water mixable oils sold here, Artisan & Holbein Aqua : Consistency is similar to the Aqua, the Artisan being slightly shorter (butter on a warm day against butter on a cool day !). Tinted with Titanium White to a mid-tone it appears as a cool stony grey when set against the warmer brown of the Artisan, even more so against the even warmer Holbein. I use it often this way, treating it as a different colour altogether to the other two. Adding a little Burnt Sienna brings it up to the warmth of the other two brands. Covers smoothly and dries quickly. Five months in with this tube and two-thirds used, consistency is maintained with no separation.
