Choosing an easel is an important decision for an artist. The choice will vary according to an artists' style, preferred media and quite often space availability. Winsor offer a range of easels to cover all requirements, provide firm support, give long lasting service and above all provide unsurpassed quality expected from Winsor & Newton.
The majority of easels are made from beechwood, however there are a selection of steel and aluminium variants too, as well as a variety of differing styles.
Studio Easels
Winsor's range of Studio Easels is solidly built ensuring stability and durability for the studio artist. The Radial easels are most commonly used in art schools and are also popular with painters with studio spaces.
Studio Easels - Thames Radial Easel
A rigid, adjustable easel, recommended for Studio and College use. Strongly constructed from seasoned Beechwood, it can accommodate canvases up to 182cm (711/2") in height and can be tilted for the ideal working position. The canvas rests on a shelf (which can be moved up to max. height of 150cm and down to a min. height of 39cm from the floor) with space for brushes whilst a sliding top block locks the upper edge. When not in use the easel folds for ease of storage. Collapsed length is 156cm.

Studio Easels - Shannon Studio Easel
A solidly built, robust easel designed for Studio and College use. The painting ground rests on an adjustable lower shelf which allows simple adjustment of the working height. The easel can accommodate a maximum canvas height of 134cm (53") and has an adjustable angle for preferred working position. This model features a folding base stand for ease of storage. Supplied in kit form for simple self-assembly.

Handcrafted from seasoned Beechwood and designed for water colour, pastel or oil painting. This model tilts forward for glare reduction for painting and tilts backward to form a table for water colours or to apply Gesso/varnish. The easel has a fully adjustable painting tray and folds flat for easy storage. The Hamilton can accommodate a maximum canvas height of 138 cm (52"). The height of the Hamilton easel when horizontal is 93cm.
