A few comments are saying they don't like the plastic lid. There is really nothing wrong with it, I have had mine a few years now and it's still as good as new. You can't go wrong with ether of these, large or small. (Posted on 01/10/2021)

Fantastic palette with roomy wells, smooth surface, solid heavy construction and a convenient size to remain on a table permanently. I also like being able to see my paints through the plastic cover. This palette is beautiful and well thought out.
