“An Hourglass on the Run”

Matilda Bevan:
“From an ancient mosque by a bullring in Southern Spain I recorded in
sequential snapshots the 360 degree panorama of the surrounding valley and
from these I have developed more thought-through painted and drawn imagery.
I like to be surprised by details that emerge in the most rapid or casually
taken photograph so that by slow study and interpretation of these I am
distancing myself from the speed of the shutter.”
