Twitter Photo Competition
Every year we send a printmaking newsletter in early November about printing your own Christmas cards. We’re looking for an image to use at the top of that email newsletter to inspire people to give printing their own cards a try.
We are looking for:
A festive-themed hand-printed artwork, photographed with the linocut block next to it. A clear, well-lit photo will be important. The best format for the photo is a horizontal landscape format, to go across the top of the newsletter. See the winning entries from the last few years.
Since there are so many lovely, skilled printmakers on Twitter we always do the competition there. Please share your photo with us on Twitter including the hashtag #xmaslino. The deadline is 1st November. The winner will be notified by 2nd November, 2016.
It doesn’t have to be a new card you are making this year – if you have a plate and card from last year and can take a good clear photo that will be fine.
We will choose a winner from the entries submitted on Twitter and award a £50 Jackson’s gift voucher, credit the image and give a link to the winner’s website (both on this blog and in our newsletter, both of which have a high readership).
The image above is an example, it is the header we used a few years ago, made by a staff member.
