Opening on Thursday 4th May at the Royal Academy, with over 50 exhibitors and the opportunity to buy and view original prints spanning five centuries, the London Original Print Fair is London’s longest running art fair. As well as being able to buy and view prints from Old Masters to newly published works from contemporary artists, there is a host of events and talks happening throughout the fair which runs from 4th-7th May. The organisers of the fair have very kindly donated to us some free tickets to give away to talks with artist Monica Lundy and a special film screening exploring Samuel Palmer’s prints of the 19th century – tickets will also give you full admittance to the fair.

Lundy will describe not only the technical process in creating these prints, but her immersion in research of primary sources and photos of the period.
Palmer & Me Film Screening, Thursday 4th May, 12pm
Join gallery and print studio Director Vincent Eames and artists for this special film screening. Palmer & Me, by BAFTA winning director Mike Southon, explores Samuel Palmer’s prints of the 19th century and their relevance to some of today’s leading printmakers in Britain. The 17 artists selected for this special project each received one of Samuel Palmer’s 17 etchings to live with for a periods of months. The documentary reveals the artistic inspirations brought forth by Palmer’s prints, and the contemporary artists’ artworks created in response.
