Artworks for the Jackson’s Open Art Prize must be submitted by the artist who created it. One artwork per person. The Art Prize is open to all artists of any age and ability. Drawings or paintings of an inappropriate or offensive subject matter will be removed from the competition. We accept all forms of 2D media except photography (unless the photography is part of a painting) and digital paintings. We will not be accepting any 3D media.<\/p>\n
We may wish to see the artwork and will arrange this at our expense. The winning work must be available for viewing, if requested, and must be like the digital photo submission.<\/p>\n
We will require a photo of the winner standing in front of their painting for publicity purposes. Please do not submit an image if you do not have access to the original. We will let you know the pose\u00a0needed for the photo if you are selected as a winner.<\/p>\n

You can enter the Art Prize through the Jackson\u2019s Open Art Prize Page on the Jackson’s Art Blog. The maximum jpeg file size is 3MB. Images of artwork must be at least 1000px wide. Entrants should fill out the entry form and upload their image. Please ensure that your image is the correct way up before submitting. Artwork with a copyright stamp on it will not be accepted. Artwork with a frame in the image will not be accepted.<\/p>\n

Artworks will be first long-listed by a panel of judges at Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies. Thereafter, an external panel of 6 judges will together decide on a shortlist. The winner and runners-up will be carefully chosen by our external panel of judges. Announcement and instructions for prize will be sent to the e-mail address supplied on the potential prize winner\u2019s entry form. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his\/her e-mail account for prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this competition. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Administrator (or Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies) within fifteen (15) days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize.<\/p>\n

If you or an immediate family member is an employee of Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies you cannot enter the competition. Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted. Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Art Prize, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Art Prize is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies. Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Art Prize, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies determines that the Art Prize cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorised intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies\u2019 control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Art Prize. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.<\/p>\n

By entering the Art Prize, each entrant agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies and its parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, the software platform, administrator, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from any liability, damages, losses or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from that entrant\u2019s participation in the competition and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize that may be won. Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies and its parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies do not make any warranties, express or implied, as to the condition, fitness or merchantability of the prize. Jackson\u2019s Art Supplies and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from access to or the download of information or materials connected with the competition.<\/p>\n

By participating, each entrant grants Sponsor permission to use his\/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.<\/p>\n
