Nobody becomes a money earning artist overnight so just what are those first practical steps you could take and the right mental attitude to keep you on track? <\/p>\n<h2>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<h3>\u201cBe open minded and look local, this is all about learning and getting work out there\u201d<\/h3>\n<h2>What\u2019s discussed during this episode\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Make that first step, it\u2019ll look very unattractive compared to the big dream, but if you don\u2019t you\u2019re stuffed <\/p>\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Be open minded and look local, this is all about learning and getting work out there \u2013 there\u2019s nothing wrong with the wall of a caf\u00e9 <\/p>\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Not everything will work, expect some time wasting<\/p>\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Keep the day job, for now. Grand gestures add stress and the threat of failing \u2013 not a great creative help<\/p>\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Put yourself in front of people who don\u2019t love you, preferably ones that don\u2019t know you. That\u2019s how it\u2019s going to be if you want to be an artist<\/p>\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rejection and disinterest are part and parcel of development.
