I have had this easel for a year or so now and have been using it regularly with no issues. It was easy to assemble and doesn’t take up much floor space at all, which is great when you are living in London!

The easel itself is pretty lightweight but without feeling flimsy. It’s sturdy due to the feet which have two braces. You can loosen the wing nuts to further collapse the top part (like a concertina), which is great for storage. It’s light enough that you can move it around from home to your studio with ease.

The upper and lower clamps are adjustable and it also tilts horizontally, which I find beneficial when applying glazes as it means they do not drip down the canvas. The wood is lightly stained and is finished with oil which means it’s smooth to the touch and there are no nasty splinters as can be the case with cheaper easels. It certainly feels very well made and I do feel as though it’ll serve me for many years to come.

I would recommend this to any oil or acrylic painter who works on canvases/panels around 100 - 200cm in size. (Posted on 18/11/2022)
