One of my favourite if not the best watercolour I have. I love how it flows on the page. It's really beautiful.

A popular member Shinhan's phthalos family and for a few good reasons. Side to side with the Cerulean Blue Hue from the same line, is noticeably lighter and saturated even at full strength. It's also relatively easier to control in mixtures, compared with the aforementioned blue, and can create slightly more saturated secondary colors.

My new favorite phthalo blue! Usual phthalo traits aside, this one ranges from a very pretty and slightly muted turquoise in tints to a rich deep dark green blue at full strength. Neutralizes very good with PBr25 for a powerful and strongly tinting black. Useful and lovely!

Beautiful paint, smooth and easy to use. The colour straight from the tube is a very intense dark blue, which then turns into a beautifully deep and slightly greenish blue when water is added.

Uses white pigment, so it is rather opaque, but quite honestly, it makes mixing skin tones a walk in the park. Can be practically used from the tube as a caucasian tone, and readily mixes with umbers and sepias to create a wide variety of colors. If you suck at mixing skintones (like yours truly) this is an excellent crutch to use until you get the hang of it!

An uncommon green to use. When undiluted it's practically black, and that can create some very interesting washes and effects

Great for netralizing greens. The Shinhan brand is an affordable option!

Like many flesh tones, it's more opaque than the average watercolor. Still a must have among skintone palette.

This colour has grown on me in the last months. To me it's a transparent alternative to the usual indian and venetian reds, armonizing nicely with warm, muted color schemes; my preferred use for this color is, though, to mix very deep, non-granulating and transparent blacks with either PG7 or PB15.

This is the first time I have used this brand and am very pleased. Creamy paint and the colour is gorgeous and versatile. I find it particularly useful for botanical painting and adding a great pop to abstracts. Lush !

It's what you would expect from an artist-quality ultramarine blue, it's highly pigmented (as much as ultramarines go), flows without a problem and rewets easily on the palette. It might no be a very innovative or exotic color at this point, but it's a very affordable and trustworthy color.

A beautiful warm yellow! If you're looking for a good, transparent and affordable alternative to cadmium yellow paints, PWC's Indian Yellow might just be perfect for that. Also, like most PWC colors, this one rewets nicely on the palette.

A bit disappointed with this cobalt violet. Gummy, dull, light, bluish. I am not a great fan of Winsor & Newton but I have to admit W&N cobalt violet is the best I have come across. It is nowhere near as gooey as many others, handles well, is bright and pinkish in a way that is impossible to imitate by mixing. I will just have to order W&N in pan AND tube because it doesn't rewet well, which is annoying. Otherwise I'd just order a tube and use the paint both straight from the tube and squeezed into a pan.
