I've tried a range of cobalt violets and prefer the PV14 ones. This is a clean colour on the cooler side, but it's not very heavily pigmented so a lot of it is required, and takes a very long time to re-wet. It does not have good dispersal quality, it is either a thick gloop or very thin and watery, it doesn't seem to have a middle property between the two. Because of this it seems as if quite a lot of it ends up stuck in the brush and washed into the jar. It's a good enough colour, but I won't buy this again. I know that pigments do cause different behavioural qualities to a paint, but I think if other companies can resolve this, then so can DS. (Posted on 14/02/2023)Rating - Review by Feefo
Professional quality paints. But I use other artists quality watercolours as well. (Posted on 13/12/2018)Rating - Review by Feefo
It has a bit of a gooey texture but nice when mixed with cobalt blue and/or raw sienna. Those 3 also make a nice grey. (Posted on 16/03/2017)Rating
