PrimaTek Watercolours are made from minerals, often semi precious minerals, that have been ground into pigments, mixed with gum arabic (the binder) and milled into PrimaTek Watercolours. The first was Lapis Lazuli Genuine in 1998, since then, many more have been added such as Amethyst Genuine, Piemontite Genuine and Serpentine Genuine. Most of these colours have wonderful granulating effects that some artists have called 'magical'.

I echo JB and JG above. It is a quite unique colour and very good for landscapes. Rather than mix with other pigments I use it on top of thin layers of yellows, blues, greens and occasionally reds. If I were to have just one DS paint this would be it. (Posted on 02/09/2021)Rating - Review by Feefo
Lovely colour...mixes well (Posted on 01/09/2019)Rating - Review by Jane N
A useful colour for hills, vegetation. Can be dark, and then dilutes to different shades. As it dries, tiny dark granulation particles appear, which gives an interesting effect. I like it. But it's not a green for mixing, in my view. I use it on its own. (Posted on 26/08/2019)Rating - Review by Feefo
First time user of Daniel smith and very impressed (Posted on 21/08/2019)Rating - Review by Feefo
Not so keen on this. The blue was okay but the golds very dull. Also, you cannot fill your palette with them as they do not 'paint' when they have dried in palette like other watercolours. Perhaps Daniel Smith should put a 'guide' with these particular paints on the best way to use them. (Posted on 08/05/2019)Rating - Review by Vladimir
It is one of the best green colour in the wotercolour in the world. (Posted on 01/05/2017)Rating - Review by Feefo
I think Daniel Smith w..colours are the best you can find on the market. That is the reson I order them from UK. (Posted on 16/03/2017)Rating - Review by Jane Blundell
This has got to be the most glorious useful green watercolour available. It covers the range from very light but realistic mossy greens through sap greens through deep olive greens all in one tube. The granulation, with specks of browns, is gorgeous. One of the top paints I have ever used. (Posted on 20/08/2015)Rating - Review by John Guichard
A wonderful, rich, deep green. Great granulation/flocculation effects. A must have! Maybe slightly more yellow than the picture shows. But achieves an intense dark upon layering. (Posted on 20/08/2015)Rating
