Holbein Clear Acrylic Gesso is a high-quality and versatile translucent painting ground. It is available in Coarse and Medium Textures and can be used as a traditional underpainting on all surfaces, including canvas, paper, cloth, wood, stone, and primed metal.

This Gesso can be mixed with regular acrylic colour and has an excellent tooth for pastel and coloured pencil.

Holbein Gesso, including their White Acrylic Gesso, is available in the following textures:

• Smooth (S): Extremely smooth surface. Almost like eggshell.
• Medium (M): Create a regular matte surface.
• Coarse (L): Fine sand texture surface.
• Extra Coarse (LL): Rough sand texture surface.
