Willow Wolfe Callia Filbert brushes are made with an innovative blend of synthetic hair which offers excellent absorption, spring, and a gradual release of colour. They are designed for oil, acrylic, and watercolour, and contain no animal hair.
The filbert is a brush shaped like an oval at the tip and is tapered to a chisel edge. The shape of a filbert makes it useful for round or curved areas, applying washes, and painting flower strokes. It has incredible spring and snap, yet can blend very softly and is often used for pat blending techniques and merging values. The brush has a blend of multi-diameter synthetic filaments that have been etched to create microscopic pockets that absorb colour, allowing for a controlled release. Each brush features a lacquered handle and solid brass ferrule.
