Its an expensive tupperware style box which helps save some paint but is a bit small for most purposes
The lid fits but the clips are fairly basic not as good as some kitchen storage like lock 'n' lock for example

The palette seems sturdy. I have only checked it out for gouache as yet. It seems sturdy, the only things I can foresee as possibly problematic are seal life and the plastic hinged clips. (Posted on 31/05/2017)
