Khadi Handmade Watercolour Paper Pads feature artist quality cotton rag paper for watercolour and all painting and drawing media.
These books have paperback binding and contain 30 pages - 15 sheets of 150 gsm rough paper.
Khadi rag papers are made from 100% cotton rag. Cotton rags have longer fibres than linters which are the shorter fluffy cotton seed fibres commonly used in papermaking. Genuine rag papers are rare and it is the fibre length of this raw material that gives Khadi rag papers their exceptional strength and durability. The cotton rag we use comes from T-shirt cuttings from garment factories, a reliable source of pure woven cotton.

Love this little sketch book, surprised how well it handles watercolour given how lightweight the pages are. I'm only painting on one side, but this little book has been amazing. The paper might buckle under full page washes, but the surface has not pilled or broken down, then lays flat when it dries out. Perfect for sketching on the go, and will be a part of my travel kit. Beautiful deckle edges too!

This soft cover pad is 150gsm so only suitable for sketching or collaging, but good pocket or handbag size and a lovely textured paper. Would make a good holiday sketch book or journal.

Good handmade paper. Some imperfections in the paper but that’s standard in handmade paper. It handles watercolour beautifully but doesn’t handle pencil or any other dry medium well.
