The Palomino Blackwing Volume 200 Limited Edition Coffeehouse set of 12 pencils is a tribute to the Beat Generation and the coffeehouses of New York and San Francisco where they gathered during the ‘50s and ‘60s. Coffeehouses were regular venues for poetry recitals and became synonymous with creativity and intellectualism.

Each pencil features a metallic copper design inspired by classic copper coffee roasting machines found in many coffeehouses in this era. These premium pencils are made in America with extra firm, smooth Japanese graphite. The rounded hexagonal barrel is made of genuine incense cedar and is capped with a copper-coloured ferrule which holds a square-ended eraser. This eraser is replaceable.

Blackwing pencils were favoured by award-winning creators throughout the 20th century. They were discontinued in the 1990s, despite a cult following. In 2010 Palomino brought Blackwing pencils back for a new generation.
