Art Spectrum Colorfix Primer is a fine tooth, quick drying acrylic primer which bonds agressively to practically any clean, dry surface - all types of papers (300 gsm or heavier recommended), canvas, card, ply, plastic, glass, timber, ceramic and metal.
Suitable for a wide range of applications including pastels, charcoal, pencils, inks, acrylics, gouache or even watercolors.

Review
I bought this as a substitute for an expensive pastel paper I usually buy. The colour really is a deep black and the surface allows many layers with coloured pencil. It's a bit like sanded paper but not as harsh.
