Colorfix Smooth is a new addition to the Colorfix range of papers and pastels by Art Spectrum. Like Colorfix Original papers, it is manufactured by screen printing a Colorfix Primer (in this case Colorfix Smooth) onto a high-quality archival 300gsm Hot Pressed watercolor paper made in Europe.
This produces a 340gsm pastel paper which is slightly less toothy than Colorfix Original, but which nevertheless has enough texture for multiple layers of soft pastel. The paper is sufficiently robust to be used for both dry and wet media: soft pastels, oil colors, acrylics, inks, oil pastels, gouache, watercolors, charcoal and pencils.
Colorfix Smooth is available in 20 colors. This is a 'Rainbow pack' of twenty Colorfix Smooth sheets measuring 50x70cm, one in each color: Australian Grey, Aubergine, Blue Haze, Burgundy, Burnt Umber, Clear, Deep Black, Deep Ultra, Elephant, Fresh Grey, Leaf Green Dark, Olive Green, Raw Sienna, Rich Beige, Rose Grey, Sand, Soft Umber, Storm Blue, Terracotta, White.
