Info
Bostik Blu Tack is a permanently plastic, reusable adhesive and made from a synthetic polymer. Supplied in the form of rectangular slabs between sheets of release paper, Bostick Blu Tack is clean and economical in use. Great for a wide range of uses, from holding maps and paper drawings on a wall to being used as a support for model parts when they are being painted. Ideal for holding 2d and lightweight 3d objects in place. It can be rolled and manipulated into shapes and is also great for cleaning fluff and dirt from surfaces such as typewriters and model railway tracks for example. Blu Tack is for use on non-porous surfaces – vinyl coated wallpapers, painted surfaces, glass and metal.
PREPARATION
1. Make certain that the surfaces to which Bostik Blu Tack is to be applied are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose surface material.
APPLICATION
2. Simply tear off the amount of Bostik Blu Tack required, pull and stretch until supple, then roll into a ball. Place this between the surfaces to be fastened and press firmly.
REMOVAL
3. To remove Bostik Blu Tack roll it carefully off the surface. It can then be used again and again. Any remaining shreds can be removed by rolling or dabbing a small ball of Bostik Blu Tack over the surfaces.
4. 4. The adhesive properties of Bostik Blu Tack increase with time so take extra care when removing it after a period of months. On some surfaces Bostik Blu Tack may leave an oily mark but lighter fuel (flammable) or proprietary chewing gum remover (non-flammable) can sometimes remove this.
