The Jackson’s A-Frame easel is a sturdy lyre easel made from Beech wood. It is perfect for working indoors as the triangular silhouette provides a compact, yet strong support for your work. Equally, its singular back leg means it can be easily used in places with limited space, and the hinge at the top of the frame enables it to be folded and stored quickly.
The unusual feature of this easel is that it can incline forward up to 15 degrees, which is especially useful to pastel painters because the pigment dust can fall away.

I am very pleased with the quality of the product. Well made using beechwood. However the instructions downloaded from the website bear little resemblance to what I recieved. My easel was almost complete when I took it out of the box. There was a bag of bits but it took some working out how to fit these. The instructions werent much help. It is made in China and as I have discovered with other chinese instructions they are not great. Despite these minor gripes it is a very good easel.

I think this easel is very good value indeed for money - it is sturdy, yet not too heavy to move around. However, it arrived with a piece snapped off, and had to be replaced entirely. My only quibble is that the assembly instructions were very obscure - diagrams difficult to follow, no written instructions, and no picture of the finished article. The initial, damaged, easel needed complete assembly; the replacement was already almost entirely assembled (which was most useful) but the remaining stages were very obscure, and we needed help from a bright young friend!! (And even he found it very tricky!)
