Prolene brushes use refined synthetic fibres specially developed by Pro Arte. A popular and versatile brush.
Used mainly for watercolor, they are exceedingly hardwearing and unlike sable, will not damage easily. Finished with seamless nickel ferrules, and black polished handles with gold tips.

I have only the size 1, it has soft bristles and I like how the handle is thicker on the part you hold it from. But If you need a thin fine tip for geometric or border designs I would go for something a bit harder, that's my preference though.

Have been using Prolene for years instead of kolinsky sables[ used Rowney which to my mind were the best] These are as good but last longer.
