Amazing service from Jackson's again! I ordered this half box easel on Tuesday and it arrived on Friday morning - pretty good as I live in the Channel Islands :-) Imagine my disappointment though, when I unpacked the easel, I could here something rattling around inside. When I lifted the easel out of the packaging, the draw on the easel fell open. Then I discovered what was rattling around - it was the piece of wood used to stop the draw opening when all folded up, located inside the box lid. The glue holding it in place had failed, so I had to re-glue it and I also added a small screw for security. I really don't think the easel is particularly well made and I am, frankly, disgusted at the quality of the folding palette, which is not even made of wood but something else, like MDF, with a wood effect vinyl covering. It won't last very long and then what do I do, as it is the palette that holds everything in place when the easel is folded up? So, all I can say is WELL DONE Jackson's for your amazing service but I suggest you check each easel from Mabef before sending them out to your customers. They are shoddy and I expected more for the price, much more.

This is a well made item, my only criticism is that the folding palette is a bit flimsy. It would be better if it was made of a thin plywood.other than that it’s an excellent sketching box.
