Review
Scared of using them as 4 brand new ones straight out of the tin failed to sharpen. The other 56 sharpened. I use a top of the range pencil sharpener £28. I will use them only for detail work.

Absolutely wonderful set. Nice rich colours, highly pigmented. Every colour from the set performs equally well. The pencils are easy to be sharpened with minimal breakage. The colours mix well together and with other pastel pencils and also on top of soft pastels and also can be laid well on top of each other up to 5-7 layers. The only minus is the small colour range - would prefer to have more colours especially a very dark but warm brown and purple.

These are my favourite pastel pencils. I use them for all of my animal portrait commissions as they are pigment rich but hard enough to sharpen to a point for fine detail. This set has a thoughtfully considered range of colours including useful neutrals as well as vibrant hues. The tin case has a simple but neat two-tier system which keeps the overall size down and makes it streamlined for easy transport. Perfect!
