Good quality, sturdy. However, needs modification, it doesn't strip down quickly, see review by Feefo. also why , oh way not make the carrying bag 10% bigger so it's not a pain to fit the tripod back into the bag while out en plein air? Also the Jackson's tripod doesn't take the Jackson's brolly holder!

There were no instructions for assembly. It didn't require genius to work it out, but there is a major design flaw. To attach the bottom support the top support retaining /locking screw must be removed completely and the bottom support slid in from the top. The screw must then be replaced.. The bottom support cannot be slid on from below because of a stud, presumably to stop the bottom support falling out, which prevents the support from being inserted. This support has to be removed to enable the article to be dismantled to fit the bag. The obvious scenario is that of erecting the easel in a field and dropping or mislaying the top support retaining screw. I drilled out the aluminium stud and it all works fine. The bottom support clamp is more than capable of supporting a large canvas or sketch pad without the need to rely on the pointless stud.

With some simple modification I shall be able to use it to support work of A4 size as advertised!

Good stable tripod, but complicated; needs to be dismantled to get it back into its carry bag
