Ingres is a type of paper named after the Neoclassical French painter Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. Its unique texture is formed on a cylinder mould machine by pressing the paper fibres between the cylinder mesh and the marking felt. This surface texture is known as a chain and laid line surface. Daler-Rowney Ingres Paper provides excellent tooth for traditional pastel work.
This pad contains 24 sheets of 160gsm acid-free pastel paper, in 6 assorted colors (4 of each) with interleaving protective sheets.

Review
There is no indication whatsoever of this on the website, but the colours shown on the front colour of the image of the pad are not those of the paper inside. And this is not just a matter of a slight variation in shade. For example, my pad contained NO blue: white had been substituted instead! I found that the pad itself had a 'disclaimer' to the effect that what one saw as a guide to colours on the front of the pad did not necessarily bear any relationship to its contents(!) How either Jacksons or Daler Rowney can continue to sell this on line, where by definition, customers are not in a position to look inside, beats me!
