Never use black in watercolour they say! BUT if you like texture in your rocks, foreground etc, a la John Piper, John Blockley, Michael Morgan etc, this is the colour to use. Magnificent and unpredictable granulation effects.

I use this color almost in all of my works! It works amazing in mixing with other colors and gives them depth and texture.

Have to say the most exciting pigment to discover in 22yrs of painting. Great mixer, spectacular granulation effects, seems to ""electrify""/intensify some colours when they come into contact with it. Haven't found anything it can't do yet, just wish I had it when I first started painting -- play with it and be amazed.
