Monte Amiata Natural Sienna (PBr7) is a subtle natural sienna hue. This product has a gentle granulation, an excellent lightfastness and a delicate transparency. Ideal for portraits and landscapes, this paint is very workable due to the low staining nature of its pigment.

Don't be misled by the colour which appears on the screen or on the Jackson's colour chart (quite a few of the DS colours are not accurately shown !). This is not the red/brown shade you see, but a lovely golden raw sienna colour. Like all DS colours it rewets very well (much better than W&N Raw Sienna or W&N Yellow Ochre) and is semi-transparent, giving a glowing colour on the paper but also having enough 'presence' to achieve interesting effects.
