Environmount is an environmentally friendly mounting board that has a smooth white surface on both sides and a core of recycled newspaper. The surface is smooth enough to be inked and wiped with tarlatan, so serves as an excellent economy drypoint plate and as a base for collagraph plate construction.
Score into or peel away the smooth surface to reveal an ink-absorbent core, and build onto the Environmount with textures, plaster, acrylics, and varnishes for collagraph printing.
