The Ultimo range of brushes is made of synthetic squirrel and achieves a nearly perfect imitation of this natural hair. Thanks to the special fibre in this Ultimo series, extraordinary softness and a capacity to retain liquids is achieved, which is virtually the same as that found in the natural squirrel hair. The Ultimo series could become a synthetic hair benchmark to gradually replace natural hair in the future.

I am a professional watercolour artist and need brushes that perform well. These brushes have a nice spring and produce and interesting range of strokes. They hold almost as much paint as a squirrel brush but they don't need as long a water dip to remove the previous colour from the brush ......... this is their best advantage.
