This collection of brushes, hand-picked and named after the watercolorist John Yardley, contains three watercolor brushes from the Reserva 1212 Series. A painter of intimate interiors and streetscapes, John Yardley’s collection includes brushes that reflect his simple technique and lightness. Yardley uses Reserva brushes from size 6 to size 14 and has selected the sizes 6, 10 and 12 to compose his Escoda trio. These Reserva brushes are made from Kolinsky-Tajmyr sable, which points perfectly and has an extraordinary capacity to retain liquids.

after trying some low quality brushes, then some medium ones, i finally decided to raise my budget and get these ones. Amazing difference, keep their point while wet, dump or dry, excellent water capacity and flow easily on the paper. Have in mind that the sizes are slightly different than other brands: Escoda 12 = other brands 10, Escoda 10 = other brands 8, Escoda 6 = other brands 4-5. i also bought Escoda no. 8 so i can have ordinary no. 6 and complete my set. i highly recommend to invest into good quality brushes and save time and money, eliminate the frustration and make watercolour experience a pleasant one from the start. This set is one of the best to start with.
