Golden Open Acrylics are a line of professional colors and mediums formulated to produce a uniquely relaxed set of working characteristics not found in other acrylics. Their versatility allows artists to explore a wider range of techniques that rely on softening, shading, glazing and creating fine detail.
Open Acrylics remain wet on the palette for extended periods of time. This means that color mixes are usable longer, resulting in less waste due to dried paint.

I wish I could give more than five stars! I really love the colours in this set, they are my most commonly used ones, and I can easily mix any tertiary colour I love to use. The texture is a bit softer than my other paints which also makes it a joy to use. But the most exciting thing, of course, is the freedom offered by the long drying time. The only minor downside is, there's a slight color shift after drying. It's nothing horrific, but it's not something I'd expect from professional quality paints. However, I'm used to working with studio quality paints and I've witnessed far worse cases of color shift :D, so it's not a biggie for me. All in all - I'm hooked and if I absolutely had to pick one set of acrylics to use for the rest of my life, that would be it.
