Holbein Artists' Gouache Primary Set consists of 5 primary colors in 15ml tubes. Holbein Primary Colors offer excellent handling qualities, very high chroma, superlative hues and exceptional lightfastness. Mixing two of these colors equally will produce secondary colors easily as the density and the handling characteristics are well balanced,. Mixing three of these colors equally will produce black and dark grey. Producing a comprehensive grey scale has never been easier.
Holbein has also created a Primary Black and Primary White. These two colors have been produced because, unlike Ivory Black and Permanent White, they offer the same specific gravity as the other three Primary Colors. The result is a set that will produce colors identical in volume and weight when mixed together.

Very vibrant colours

When reactivated they are kind of really bad and almost completely loose their colour. When used directly from the tube they are okay. Lastly, the chart and the colour selection are good.

I love the fact that these come in CMYK colours. I have only really tested them out with a colour wheel so far. They seem good. I also got the Windsor & Newton designers gouache, which I currently prefer but to early to pick a winner.

Holbein makes the best gouache of any I've tried and this set of primary colors is a great introduction.
