Info
A mix of tradition and modern technology, these Icon Quill brushes represent the advancements of science combined with the classic needs of the traditional watercolor artist.
The uniqueness of the Micro-Synthetic fibre is twofold. Firstly, the fibres are treated to produce millions of tiny indentations. This increases the surface area of the hairs allowing a much greater color holding capacity for the brush. The hairs are then treated with a special process that frees the micro-synthetic fibres of any static electricity which makes brush fibres stick together. Following this treatment the hairs can smoothly and precisely react to any kind of stroke, either delicate or abrupt.

This is my very first quill but it's now my favorite brush. I bought size 10/0 and it is perfect! Holds a ton of liquid but releases water and pigment pretty evenly for a synthetic brush. Very affordable with zero shedding. Such a great buy!

This is exactly the brush I have been looking for. It give me loads of control, plus lots of capacity – but not so much that I end up with more paint in my rinse water than on my paper. The tip is not the finest I've seen, but it's amazingly fine for a quill. I can paint on and on without having to stop and switch brushes. And the cost is modest. This brush checks all the must-have boxes for me!

Great value for the price! The smallest quill is my biggest brush. It also holds the best point, which I've been looking for. It lays down paint evenly most of the time; still getting used to water control with this brush as a beginner.

Love this brush. Good size and holds just the right amount of water and paint. Very comfortable to use.

Excellent brush, can be used as a med - large round or small mop, great all around do it all brush.

I wanted all synthetic brushes, I read the description wrong and end up with those. Now that I have them, they became my favorites so far. I have 10/0, 3/0 and 0 and they cover all my needs for basic painting, they're soft but hold an excellent point for details, hold a good amount of water and fit in hand perfectly. They look and feel high end and easily fit in a high-quality range of brushes, but at a much affordable price. The only low point as already mentioned by Joanna, not really about brush itself, I too, wish that glue from the label would come off easier - I use baby wipes to clean it off, it helps :)

For the first time i saw this brush on here, i like it very much but when i hold it in my hand and use it, i love it more. Good quality for watercolor and really flexible to paint from big to small detail.

Very nice brush, very reasonably priced. Looks to be of good quality. Holds it's point well and holds a goodly amount of water for it's size. I like it's stiffness and snap which I think is between a Princeton Neptune (Soft) and a Princeton Aqua Elite. Hope all Jackson's Icon series are this good as I plan on buying more.

Quality brush perfect for watercolour holds the medium well and good for different brush marks.
Kundenmeinung

I was looking for a brush that would have a great color capacity and also would let me do fine detail, this brush does that; I thought I would need a needle kind of brush but this one is just perfect. Though you need some skill to not mess up.

The Icon series has quickly become my favourite brushes - not too stiff and not too soft, capable to hold a good amount of water. Just perfect for my needs, I love them. I just wish the glue used for the labels wouldn't be such a pain to get rid of:P

I ordered this brush to make up my own order. However, I have this brush and love it. It feels comfortable in the hand and handles well with watercolour. Jackson's Icon brushes are superb brushes and well worth having around when working. I use Jackson's brushes. They are excellent value and a credit to the company.
