Natural sea sponges are used by many watercolorists as well as other artists and craftspeople. These large sponges can be cut to size if you need smaller ones. There are 6 to 9 in a bag. The assorted shapes, sizes and textures make these useful tools for lifting color from wet paintings or adding texture by lifting a pattern or bits of color from your watercolor painting. They are also tough yet gentle for scrubbing a dry watercolor to lift the color and hold more water than foam sponges.

Rinse out new sponges thoroughly using clean water. They may be lightly sized to hold their shape in the bag.
