Info

Similar to the Pentel Brush Pens that are so popular at Jackson's Art Supplies, these brush pens by Japanese pen manufacturer Kuretake use a pigment based black ink that is fade resistant. The transparent strip along the side of the barrel shows how much ink remains in the pen. Popular among our staff, and particularly well suited to illustration and fine art drawing.

Pen with water washable ink - fantastic! Draw and then use a waterbrush to create tone. This makes it a wonderful sketch tool for me. A pad, a pen , a brush, travel pack sorted!

This pen is the most used in my set. It's not so much a brush pen as it is hard, however it's great to write with as well as design and illustration. It's not colour fast which is disappointing but I love it all the same. I always have 2 spare.

I really enjoy the slightly brush-like feel of this pen but it is not water-proof at all, which is most problematic when one wants to add some shades. A real turn-down despite of the quality of the pen.

Absolutely NOT waterproof (tested 10 mins after applying paint and 24h after), so I'm disappointed.
