Great palette! very useful for easel, and although it doesn't like to lay perfectly flat when on a level surface, the high walls in each section prevent spilling of colors from one area to another. My only complaint is that it doesn't snap shut very tightly, but that's not a huge deal.

I wasn't expecting the pans to be so deep, but I can see why it's useful. Even when resting on a flat desk, the full palette doesn't like to sit perfectly level so one size is usually a little lifted. With the high walls, I don't have to worry about the paint spilling, though the water still gathers a bit on one side - this is more pronounced when attached to my easel, but it's truly not a big deal and would happen no matter what palette you use. Holds a lot of paint and very sturdy - my only complaint is that it doesn't snap shut tightly, which makes me a bit worried about closing it with wet paint inside.
