The Masters 3mm Aluminium (ACM) Pastel Panel with UART 400 Grade Pastel Paper is a high quality surface for pastel artwork. It comprises premium sanded pastel paper mounted on a robust ACM panel. The surface is specially designed to hold pastel pigments, allowing you to create rich, vibrant pastel paintings which will not yellow or warp over time.

Each panel is made from 3mm thick aluminium composite material (ACM) which provides a strong, stable support for pastel work. It is rigid, lightweight and unaffected by temperature or humidity changes making it an ideal, archival-quality support. The panel is a three-layer sandwich panel consisting of two pre-painted aluminium sheets bonded to a polyethylene (PE) core.

UART sanded pastel paper is recognised as one of the most consistent, reliable surfaces available for pastel, charcoal or coloured pencil artists. This popular surface has a consistent base, a quality weight, and a tooth with bite. Accepts a wide variety of wet media for underpainting. It is mounted on the ACM panel with Beva 371 adhesive.
