Info

The PanPastel General Realism Set features a selection of 20 PanPastels and assorted tools as recommended by artist and teacher Kirsty Rebecca.

Kirsty is an award winning Australian artist, who specialises in realistic wildlife, pet portraiture, human portraiture, florals, landscapes, and still life. She creates drawing and painting tutorials that are easy to follow, so you can create realistic and professional artwork, even if you’re just starting out.

Kirsty uses PanPastel colours for creating underpaintings to use with pastel pencils, although she sometimes uses PanPastel as a stand-alone medium as well.

PanPastel Colours are professional grade soft pastel colours packed in a unique pan format (cake-like) so that they can be mixed and applied like paint. They contain very little dust for a cleaner working environment.

Review

Out of all the available 10 and 20 colour sets, this one has all the colours you need to paint any subject matter. It has the 3 primary colours (hansa yellow, ultramarine blue and permanent red - plus black and white) along with a lot of other useful colours, so even if the colour you want isn't in the set, you can still mix that colour with the 3 primary colours! So you won't ever need to buy any other colours! No other set of 10 or 20 has the primary colours so this one is definitely worth it! Kirsty Rebecca is also a great online teacher with a lot of free YouTube tutorials showing you how to use them as well
