Top of the range Kolinsky Sable brush from Raphael of France. Made to very high specifications this professional brush has a fine point and full body. Seamless nickel-plated brass ferrule and its distinctive orange tip. A brush to treasure.
The hair, which has a golden red fawn appearance, has incomparable vigour, springiness and elasticity. Thanks to it's flag, it is the perfect bristle for precision work and fine details. It is the ideal extra-fine hair for all artists' brushes, but historically it's price has been higher than gold.

Only used a couple times so far but really happy with this brush. I use it for painting miniatures, the hair has just the right amount of stiffness for me. I've been struggling with kolinsky sable brushes being too soft and having to straighten them up often, but this one just snaps back perfectly. I was a little surprised at how long the hair was, I'm used to size 0 brushes being shorter, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
