The Schmincke Horadam Gouache Set contains 10 x 15ml tubes and offers a great overview of the range. The set is presented in a metal box.
With superb flow properties, Schmincke Horadam Gouache has a high concentration of genuine pigments and an excellent lightfastness rating. The range consists of 48 finest artists’ gouache colours that have a rich, opaque, and pastel-like finish. The colours may be diluted with water and can also be mixed within the range and with Designers' Gouache. After drying, the colour can be wetted and reworked on all types of absorbing and non-absorbing paper, carton and canvas. Due to the extra-fine pigment grain sizes these finest artists' colours can also be applied using a 0.15 mm fine airbrush.
This set contains the following colours: Titanium White 102, Lemon Yellow 220, Cadmium Yellow Hue 226, Cadmium Red Hue 342, Madder Lake Deep 354, Ultramarine Deep 464, Helio Green Bluish 520, Titanium Gold Ochre 640, Burnt Sienna 648, and Ivory Black 787.

I just made a very good decision!
After making the mistake of buying several brands of student grade watercolors before realizing it would be a lot less expensive to buy professional grade with its heavier pigment load and more reliable consistency I decided if I wanted to try gouache I'd go straight to quality... and this box does not disappoint. Admittedly, I am a sucker for things that come neatly packaged for transporting, but this box is right sized for adding Jackson paintbrushes for a nice grab and go kit with a full color range in full sized tubes. Light this is not, there is more than enough color here to keep me happy for a good long while. Smooth, creamy, pigmented... for a bought-for-myself birthday present I rather think I've outdone myself.
