In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam Watercolours contains only the finest raw materials.

The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually tests their ingredients and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again.

Dot cards are a great way of trying out a colour before investing and make a great colour chart to reference from when working out what colours you will need for a particular painting.

The Schmincke Horadam Watercolour Blue Colours 20 Dot Card features a selection of 24 shades of blue from the Horadam range beautifully presented on watercolour paper. With a wet brush, the colours can be painted directly in the fields marked with the name and colour number.
