I tried this paint in this colour for painting miniature figures, a hobby where dedicated acrylic paint ranges usually have reds with poor opacity and coverage. I was amazed by the opacity of this paint with one thinned coat, and full coverage after two. Even with the slight colour shift after drying, it remained very bright and vibrant. I'll certainly try Turner acrylic gouache for figures again, as well as it's original purpose.

I got a sample of these a while ago from Jackson's, tried them recently and found that they are not much like the gouache we all know and love, but very like a soft bodied smooth acrylic paint, which is something I'm always looking out for. They go on to the surface with a very nice consistency, excellent coverage, vibrant strong colours without a hint of chalkiness. They have a nice thickness to them as well, in that dried blocs of paint don't seem dry streaky, even with only one slightly thin coating. An excellent material.
