Legion Coventry Rag is a highly versatile 100% cotton paper with a wide range of applications including calligraphy, hand lithography, intaglio, letterpress, pen and ink, pastel, charcoal, silkscreen and watercolour.

Coventry Rag was specially developed to the demands and specifications of silkscreen printmakers and is designed to take printing overlays in excess of 50 colours. It also offers incredible dimensional stability so as not to compromise registration.

Coventry Rag paper is internally and surface-sized so while it’s predominantly used for serigraphy, it also makes a great choice for offset lithography. The smooth surface makes it an excellent drawing paper for pencil, pastel, and charcoal.

The paper takes embossing, gold or silver foil stamping, and was the favourite for Erté’s silkscreen fashion art pieces during the 1970s and 1980s.
