This special edition Illumina Set of Watercolours in a Wooden Gift Box from A. Gallo Is inspired by manuscript painting traditions. The collection comes in a custom nine-colour gift box and is available on its own or in combination with an artisan cherry wood palette made in collaboration with Tintoretto brushes.

Favourites in this collection include Lapis Lazuli (genuine extra fine), eco-friendly Malachite made from crushed egg shells and a custom pigment blend, and Oro Antico made from a special blend of Raw Siena from Mount Amiata and a warm metallic gold.

In the underside compartment of the cherry wood case option are three Tintoretto synthetic squirrel hair pocket brushes sizes 2, 4, and 6. The case comes inside a handmade 100% Italian linen bag. The 1327 series Tintoretto brushes included in this palette have excellent colour retention and softness, as well as great tip thinness and resistance to use.

Made by hand in Assisi, Italy, A. Gallo watercolours are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigment, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil, and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.
