Pastelmat est une surface de carte premium (360gsm / 170lb) spécialement développé pour les Pastellistes. Sa surface veloutée unique, faite d'une fine couche de fibres de cellulose, a la capacité de saisir et maintenir des couches multiples de même les plus bas pastels.
Pastelmat réduit considérablement le besoin de fixateur, ce qui signifie que les couleurs restent vives et fraîches une fois appliqué. Il a l'avantage d'être doux sur les deux doigts et le mélange des outils. Il est exempt d'acide et de la lumière.
Pastelmat est idéal pour une utilisation dans tous les milieux secs - bâtonnets de pastel, PanPastel, crayons et charbon de bois. Il est également résistant à l'eau ce qui signifie qu'il peut être utilisé avec des médias humides ? tels que l'acrylique et l'aquarelle pour les lavages et techniques mixtes.

From a customer via email:My first encounter with Clairefontaine pastelmatwas a breeze and a joy. I have a well stocked plan chest of various good quality pastel card and waterbacked papers I am not sure they will ever see the light of day, now I have experienced this cork grain wonder worker.I have used hard pastels, soft pastels nearly every make of pastel, it glides on and it stays on. I can give due consideration to my drawing and make the one stroke, bold and bright. No more smudging for me but the surface will allow that, and making a water wash.My work is what I am interested in but this is so kind to the artist as well, where is the dust, not in my lungs,I have nails and skin on my finger tips.No fixative required,so you can keep all the freshness and colour so carefully choosen right in there.Try the small and medium sized pads to get aquainted with the colour range, when you have your favourite, order in single sheets.This pastelmat gives me confidence and a lot of pleasure.My oil paints and water colours are sulking in an ill lit corner!Clairefontaine Pastelmat was bought to my attention through the Jacksons Art Supplies web site, my loyalty to Jacksons always pays me back well.
