Lascaux White Coating for Hard Resist forms part of the Lascaux Acrylic Resist Etching system. It is designed to paint on top of the transparent Lascaux hard resist to aid with the visbility of working through it. Guide drawings can be laid on top by pencils or by tracings. The coating will remain water soluble when dry and is not acid resistant. When the drawing is complete the coloured coating is washed away with water from the surface of the Lascaux Hard resist before etching takes place.
Lascaux White Coating has been created to evoke traditional white lead grounds.
