Avec calibrage interne et surface, ces papiers ont exceptionnelle résistance au mouillé qui soutient l'application de multiples lavages. De même, tout comme le dimensionnement du journal retarde l'absorption d'eau, pigment reste sur la surface de la feuille. Le résultat : une couleur rougeoyante remarquablement.
Liaisons Stillman & Birn sont tout aussi robustes. Les liaisons cartonnés - rigides Neuve - sont conçus pour être brisé. Les épines se soulagés dans et puis poser complètement à plat, accueillant les deux mises en page dessin de deux pages et de numérisation à plat.

I think these sketchbooks are by far the best quality for the price. The paper takes some good washes, holds my ink drawings perfectly, lays flat when needed to & the covers are good strong ones. In fact, the book 'improves' with use, helping the pages lay flat without the binding coming loose. Everything you could expect from your sketchbook. Very expensive sketchbook but worth every penny to me. Top quality in all respects. I have used pencil, charcoal, ink, colour pencil different brands, and watercolour. Any slight buckling from very wet applications have smoothed out well when the book is closed.I like the paper will also handle very fine pen without any bleeding, which has been a problem with several other sketch books. I made the decision to try a Stillman and Birn sketchbook after hearing good reports because the Hahnemulle sketchbook I was using bled ink when applied and also would not take Derwent Artists colour pencils very well at all.
