Jackson's Artist Watercolours can compete with the finest professional watercolours available today. They are made from premium Sudanese Kordofan gum arabic, honey, purified water and fine artist pigments. These ingredients are blended together and slowly ground into a fine paste, until the pigment particles are dispersed evenly. This allows for a flawlessly uniform wash.

This is a 5ml sample of our French Ultramarine.

I like this as much or more than many of the more expensive brands I have tried. This is enough to fill a full pan completely. (Posted on 01/06/2017)

I had a go with this and was pleasantly surprised. The paint has a lovely quality to it, would definitely consider getting some of the other colours. (Posted on 16/03/2017)

Nice clear colour on its own but doesn't granulate as I would expect from ultramarine so colour mixes are flatter and less vibrant than I would like. (Posted on 16/03/2017)

This is pure Canadian sky in a tube or mountains in a distance. Ordered  second option - French Ultramarine Light by Jackson's Artists Watercolour in a large tube. Worth the price as well. (Posted on 14/02/2017)

The actual paint appeared to be of a reasonable quality, and a whole 5mL sample is extremely generous for the amount charged. However, the packaging is not resealable, being a tearable plastic pouch, so I had to squeeze the paint into an empty pan and allow it to harden to avoid a huge leaky mess. I loved that the sample was of a useful colour too. (Posted on 07/05/2016)

Not as strongly tinting as some others and therefore more controllable. A good ultramarine for a beginner to build a palette around because it works so cleanly. (Posted on 12/09/2015)

I've always used more expensive ultramarine before, but this was typically good. Great pigment, lovely colour. I'll be buying a 21ml version soon. (Posted on 20/08/2015)
